AVOCADO CHOCOLATE MOUSSE

This beautiful dessert is one of the quickest treats you can make. With only a handful of ingredients, you will be able to make this a new household favourite. With the surprising main ingredient being avocado, you can be sure you are indulging in the best way possible.

The first time I made this creation I was really unsure about the possible results. Having loved my dairy mousse in the past, I couldn’t seem to lean towards this unusual recipe. But I gave it a good go & oh boy it is defiantly a fav for me & my household now. How can a dessert be so incredibly beneficial? Lets take a look at the goodness one of the key ingredients hold. Avocados. These creamy little guys are packed full of goodness. To name only a handful, they provide an excellent source of;

Okay, well for me that sounds like a pretty good deal considering this yummy dish is a dessert. So let’s get into exactly how to create this deliciousness, benefits & all.

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS

150g Diary Free Chocolate

2 large Ripe avocados ( skinned, pitted & chopped )

2 Tablespoons cocoa powder

2 Teaspoon vanilla bean or essence

3 Tablespoons maple syrup

160ml Coconut cream

EQUIPMENT

Heat proof bowl

Blender

Spoon or spatula

4 serving bowls, cups or containers

DIRECTIONS

Step 1 - Carefully place a heatproof bowl in the middle of a pan or larger deep bowl, filled with boiling bowl.

Step 2 - Break chocolate into small pieces and place into your heatproof bowl. Allow to melt stirring constantly. Set aside in the fridge to cool.

Step 3 - Add all avocado into blender.

Step 4 - Add the remaining ingredients & pulse for a few seconds. Scrap down the sides of the blender with a spoon or spatula. Blend again until combined.

Step 5 - Pour in the cooled chocolate into the blender. Do not add if chocolate is still warm or hot. Pulse the blender until completely mixed & smooth.

Step 7 - Divide mixture into your bowls, cups or containers. Chill in the fridge for at least 20-30min. Top with optional grated chocolate & berries. Enjoy your delicious dessert.
